The key process in the production of solar panels is the lamination of the multi-layer photovoltaic modules. During the design of a new system, the technical lead for single- and multi-level systems aimed to create a hydraulic control system that combined simplicity with maximum performance. The goal of the hydraulic solution was to achieve pressure accuracies of ±1 bar at maximum pressures of up to 300 bar.
The solution:
Bott designed the solution based on decades of experience in press hydraulics. A robust, easy-to-use, yet highly precise hydraulic system with a press manifold designed by Bott and manufactured in its own production facility in Mössingen. The use of poppet valves, which guarantee leak-free operation, allows the hydraulics to operate in shut-off mode and thus achieve a high level of energy efficiency.
