This project demonstrates how we successfully transfer our proven hydraulic expertise from the workshop environment to the demanding alpine environment. Learn how we worked closely with a customer to develop an innovative, powered adjustment solution for modern snow lances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The challenge: optimising manual work in the snow<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The starting point was our successful battery-powered gearbox jack. A prospective customer asked us whether a similar motorised solution could be implemented to facilitate the adjustment of snow lances. Manual adjustment is often time-consuming \u2013 a smart hydraulic solution was needed here to increase ease of use and boost efficiency in ski resorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BOTT approach: smart hydraulics as a problem solver<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the perfect task for Wolfgang Bott GmbH & Co. KG. We see ourselves as problem solvers for technically challenging tasks in the field of hydraulics. Our goal is to improve our customers’ applications with smart solutions, relieve processes and save costs through new functions and a longer service life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After exchanging technical requirements, we developed a concept for a compact, driven adjustment unit. Thanks to our high level of vertical integration and expertise, we immediately implemented a functional prototype.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The successful field test in Kitzb\u00fchel<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The moment of truth struck on the Resterh\u00f6he in Kitzb\u00fchel. Our prototype was tested intensively under real conditions \u2013 and passed the practical test with flying colors! All functions were confirmed and the customer was highly satisfied. Clear proof that the transfer of our drive technology to this new field of application is a complete success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outlook: Series solution and added value<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are currently working on developing the series solution. The focus here is on optimizing robustness, low maintenance and simple integration into existing snowmaking systems. The result will be a user-friendly, cost-efficient adjustment solution that revolutionizes the use of snow lances.
