To prevent the engine from stuttering and, in the worst case, failing completely, the fuel needs to be continuously filtered. With this absolute filtration, the filter effectively traps all particles larger than 10\u202f\u03bcm. The task is to find a way to clean the filter during ongoing operation. At the same time, the engine must continue to receive and burn clean fuel efficiently throughout the cleaning process. The entire system needs to be safe to operate and suitable for the harsh conditions on the high seas.<br\/><br\/><strong>The solution:<\/strong><br\/>The task was solved by Bott&#8217;s hydraulic specialists using a hydropneumatic drive system. This ingenious storage system, which uses the internal pressure conditions and requires no additional energy, reliably supplies these large engines with clean fuel. Reliable components, most of which are developed and produced in-house, guarantee maximum operational safety and reliability.<br\/><br\/><strong>The smart advantage:<br\/><\/strong>A standalone solution designed entirely without electric drive components.
