We have developed a new hydraulic dead-man safety valve<\/strong> for a customer in the aviation industry, designed to be used in hydraulic wheel changers for aircraft<\/strong>. Similar to a conventional car jack, the wheel changer is used to safely lift individual aircraft wheels. One of the key requirements was to design a release valve<\/strong> that automatically returns to the closed position<\/strong> when the control is released \u2013 a safety mechanism based on the dead-man principle.<\/p>\n\n

In contrast to standard market solutions with a spring-loaded push button, a rotary-operated version<\/strong> was required. Our newly developed valve performs this function with dependable and robust performance.<\/p>\n\n

Technical specifications of the dead-man safety valve:<\/strong>– Maximum operating pressure: >700 bar– Maximum flow rate: 15 l\/min– Medium: Hydraulic oil based on mineral oil– Temperature range: -30 \u00b0C to +80 \u00b0C<\/p>\n\n

Development was carried out entirely in-house \u2013 from design and prototype production through to full production.
