For applications with critical safety concerns, we at BOTT Smart Hydraulics have developed an innovative hydraulic cylinder system that sets new standards for reliability and safety. The key challenge: designing an end-position locking system that relies on positive locking rather than frictional locking – and is additionally monitored by limit switches.
Our solution meets these requirements with a well-thought-out overall design:
a specially developed hydraulic cylinder with a piston diameter of 40 mm, a piston rod with a diameter of 22 mm and a stroke length of 350 mm. The sealing system used was specifically engineered for high-load applications and ensures a long service life – even under demanding conditions.
Another advantage: The system is modularly scalable, both in its mechanical dimensions and in the integrated valve technology. This allows it to be individually adapted to various requirements.
